Dall' Album al Libro - L'Industria Italiana nell'Editoria Fotografica. First it was the album, the magazine, and later the book: over the course of a century, the industries used printed matter for their communication: In the form of showpiece albums, advertising booklets, brochures and anniversary books. The 50th, 100th or 150th anniversary celebrations of the companies often led to opulently printed and bound self-portraits. Word and image together stood for what had been achieved, for the success and prosperity of the industries. The exhibition "Dall' Album al Libro" shows how to deal with photography in books by means of around 100 books from Italian industry. At the same time, the exhibition is a foray into Italian industrial photography. Numerous video projections make it possible to follow the course of the books closely. All the books on display come from the Savina Palmieri Collection, Milan.
